On StopDesign theme, some images are used like :

• Add a comment
• Gallery archive
  etc

It should be great if these images could be translatable.

We can use GD dynamic images for it, or to be "modern", CSS tricks like font-face, etc

Font-face is not really an option yet, is it? Of course you could make images in several languages to call them accordingly to the language set.

I admit I don't know GD dynamic images but If you want to contribute to that that would of course be welcome. It should be usable with the gettext stuff. Just open a ticket for it and assign it to yourself.

Those images are an unfortunate part of the stopdesign theme. The theme could be modified to select the images by language. If you'll contribute some images for testing I will make that change.
