I have a file in .mov format. In the admin panel the default height is set to 390 by 520. I wish to change it to 720 by 1280, but when I hit save, the default settings return and the new ones are not retained!

Second issue is that when watching the quicktime .mov, the there are no visible quicktime controls? I can only start it by double clicking?

Please assist or advise

1. Will try to reproduce that.
2. Have a link maybe? Normally there should be controls at the bottom. Maybe that depends on the quicktime/system (if using Mac).

this is being hosted in an internal environment so I can't post link but I could post screenshot if that helps? Machine running windows 7 home. standard quicktime plugin installed...error reproduces on chrome and firefox?

Well, I am on Mac so I can't reproduce it exactly. But a screenshot of course helps.

Update: I can reproduce that changed values always default back. So that's a bug. I can't reproduce on my computer (Mac) that there are no controls. The controller display is actually set with `<param name="controller" value="true" />`.

are you able to save and change the default quicktime movie resolution?

See my post before your question. I meant actually I of course can't reproduce the exact setup you have being on Mac..;-)

Regarding the controls I have no idea sorry. Probably something is different on Windows Quicktime I don't know about but we followed the official guides (unless they change something...).

ah sorry, didn't realize proper way to post bugs. thanks for closing that thread. I posted the bug in the bug tracker..hopefully that is proper protocal?

jeremy, in reference to quicktime not showing controls, this is a problem that the quicktime plugin has on some 64bit windows systems. apple has known about it for a while and chooses not to make it work like it should. a (messy) workaround is to run your browser in compatability mode. this may not be what you want since it messes up aero.

thank you subgeek! it's actually a relief to know it wasn't just me. any suggestions on how to work around the size issue? I really would like to to be 1280 / 720?

sorry, actually figured out if i just renamed to .mp4 things work great...ditching quicktime player entirely
