The upload button doesn't show up for my users. It only works if i'm logged in as an admin
I tried to code it(admin-upload.php) so it always shows up but I don't know how to do that =p.

Same here...but case is that it does not work for me nor my user. I can see the upload button, select images but upload never starts. Single file upload works everytime.

Try the demos here: http://www.uploadify.com/ we just adapted the script. Also it would be helpful to post what browser and system you are actually using...

I tried it on Chrome Dev 4.0.266 and IE 8 and it didn't responded. Demo at Uploadify is not working.

So any idea to disable this completely? Since I upload via FTP and I don't expect users to upload so many images consecutively.

There is a link to use the browser upload. The setting will be stored for the admin so you don't have to switch each time.

Safari 4 is my main browser and it works perfectly there. Chrome does not run on my machine.. still a none Intelmac.

Have you checked the file/folder permissions? That is often an issue.

These problems are browser/client computer dependent, so you probably should not disable it for your users ad hock. Each user can select the the upload path that works best for him, it is not a site option.
