Hello,

Is it possible to make zenphoto grab my already uploaded photos, instead of downloading and uploading! something like placing an img url and then hitting upload?

or even if there is an import feature?

Thanks.

P.S. sorry if this isn't the appropriate forums to post this.

No, but if you have your images already on the same server you can just move them into the root "albums" folder via FTP (note they must be within subfolders within that "albums" folder so they are recognized as albums).

If they are on another server you have to upload them either via the backend or FTP. You can't administrate images on another server directly.

You can point the zenphoto "album" variable to your already uploaded folders. Please review the zp-config.php file in the zp-data folder.

But only if it is the same server (since the question about that is not yet been answered).

Sorry for the late reply, i didn't get any notification that someone replied to my question.

i've been taking photos for the past 4 years and got most of it uploaded to flickr and imageshack. i got my own domain recently and i want to upload all my work on it, but it'll take forever to download then upload.

i've seen services like tumblr and posterious that can grab the photos to these blogs with a bookmarklet! just one click and the image is transloaded to your blog there!

and i was wondering if the same can happen with ZP.

Thanks

The photos must be on a server directly accessable by the PHP script system. Zenphoto is file system based (one of its strong points) and does not work with remote images.
