I use Zenphoto 1.3.1 with the ZenPage Plugin. I created users with belongs to the template usergroup 'viewers'. My goal is that this users should see all my protected Galleries and my news-articles. Now this works fine for the gallery, but the users from the group 'viewers' can only the the news headline, but not the content. I protected each news category with a username from the group viewer and the actually password. Only user with rights as an administrator can see the news. Did I do anything wrong?

I cannot reproduce this on the current nightly build. Please give that a try and report back to us.

I tried the current nightly build. But I have still the same problem. Users from the group 'viewers' can only see albums, but not the news. They only see the headlines (and not the content). Does it matter what username I use to protect the news? Has the username and password to protect a news category an influence witch user can see the news?

It would seem that user access for zenpage items is pretty screwed up. I will work on straightening it out, but it may take a few days. Also, it will be fixed only in the nightly builds.

Thanks sbillard for your work on it! I did a fast try and it seems not to work propper. When I set the Gallery to privat I allways get the message that the user should login, even I used the right username and password (the login was actually successful, bescause I can go to the admin-page). As an workaround I have set the Gallery as public without Password and the news with password. So user need to login to see the news. And this works fine. I will try it later on a fresh install on my testsystem.

Question on your getting the request to log-on. Did the gallery have a password as well as being marked private? If so, the user/password of the gallery is not the same as that for visiting the admin pages. Generally if the gallery is marked private, individual page passwords are not required. (And probably they should not be checked. I will look into that.)

I tried it today with a fresh install of Zenphoto Nightbuild from 22th Oktober. I activated the plug-ins register-user, user-groups, user-login-out and zenpage. I use the zenpage-Theme. I didn't used as Gallery password, instead I set the Gallery to private. But when I do this, I can't see anymore my Gallery. Zenphoto allways ask for my username and password. The security-log shows me that the logon was successful (I can go to the Settings etc), but I don't have access to pictures (Gallery) over the index page anymore. If I use direct links (like http://127.0.0.1/test/zenphoto/news/category/rundbriefe or http://127.0.0.1/test/zenphoto/Gallery name) I have access to the news and Gallery (so long as I am logged in). So it seems to me that something is wrong with the index-page.

I tried the nightlybuild from the 23th october - it seems to me that this build is working fine.
