Dear all,

Love the fantastic zenphoto community and system.
I have some great ideas for my website but can't make it happen.

Hope you can help me out guys.

I would like to see a random (already installed) carousel.
Is this possible?

I would like to see a random square carousel with 4 images width and 2 rows height. With on both sides a scroller.

Something like this:
http://activeden.net/item/infinite-xml-slider-horizontal/full_screen_preview/91818 (without text)

But here is one row, but i love to see 2 rows with 1 button to see the next and previous one.

How to realize this? Any idea's?

I have not seen anything like this build for zenphoto. The particular effect you reference requires a fee based license and there is no documentation readily findable, so I doubt anyone will decide to "check it out" for you.

I am sure this kind of effect is possible. You should do a WEB search on "jQuery slideshows" and see what looks best to you. Zenphoto javascript is based on jQuery so any of these should be supportable.

There are lots of these effects out there. The example is flash based but as sbillard said I would look for jQuery effects. Of course you will have to make some effort to adapt the script found to be used with Zenphoto.

Hi all,

Thanks for your messages!

Is it possible to do that? I saw in the core files that there already exist a scroller?

Is it possible to hire someone to do this for me?

Thanks in advance.

The scroller you refer to is the jCarousel. It is actually meant to be used with just one row by default. You might want to take a look at this one which is quite easy to setup: http://flowplayer.org/tools/scrollable/index.html
