I just went through the upgrade instructions located here, http://www.zenphoto.org/news/installation-and-upgrading#2, and when I got to step 6, got many errors in the systems check. I have copy/pasted the results into a text file but don't see a way to attach anything, should I just paste them here?

My host installed the original version, and I renamed the themes and zp-core folders before uploading the latest version in case there was a problem, was hoping I could just delete or rename the new uploaded folders and rename the original ones back if something went wrong. Searched for some of the issues that turned up, for example, it told me to search for 'What is magic_quotes_gpc and why should it be disabled', and though I'm finding some posts regarding it, they don't seem to answer the question. Since I did not install the original, I don't know if these issues were there all along or if only the upgrade caused them. Where should I be looking for assistance, and is there a way to attach a file, or should I paste the results here? Thank you for any help.

It is not possible to attach files to the forum (for good reasons as you might understand). But you can paste them here.

Most errors or warnings are explained on setup itself and some may not be explained on our site as they are not Zenphoto specific.

Why magic quotes should be disabled is explained on our troubleshooting (sic!) amongst other things. Please read there first.

Thank you, understand completely about attaching files. I temporarily moved the new folders to another location and renamed the original install folders (themes and zp-core are the new ones I uploaded via FTP after renaming the original install folders to xx_themes and xx_zp-core when first installing the update) and I'm back at the place where the host installed, and everything seems as it was before I tried the update. I will go through the troubleshooting guide for each of the warnings I got and have pasted below (blanked out database name) in case some of the questions are ones my host will need to answer, any tips as to what to ask them would be appreciated.

Systems Check:

I've just recently begun using Zenphoto, and joined here.
However, I did make a post on upgrading documentation because my host installed it automatically for me, and it was the last release not the latest. But, I've not been able to view any of the page links I've found on here. I need advice, so thought I'd link my post here as well:http://www.zenphoto.org/support/topic.php?id=9091. Since I'm new idk when they'll show up, but I can't find advice anywhere I've looked.
Also, the page for 'forum rules and resources' (http://www.zenphoto.org/support/topic.php?id=3760) only returned a page stating: Topic not found. Do these issues have anything to do with the migration process from WordPress, mentioning 'broken links, glitches or else we missed (we surely did miss something!) let us know on the forum.', which is located here: http://www.zenphoto.org/news/zenphoto.org-now-zenphoto-only ...?

Thanks for help/advice in advance. I really like Zenphoto, and I'm basically just using for my wife at the moment as a private subdomain for select family n friends; but, she's a cake decorator and I hope to make it as nice as possible for her, and evolve it into something spectacularly extravagant to display her work, not just photos shes done for/of our children, family, and friends.

As said on the othe topic I am not able to reproduce issues with the urls. We did change our site but it is all working for me/us. I have no idea what this could cause for some visitors. I still assume it is a browser cache isseu that maybe stored the old site in case you visited us before.

Could also be downstream caching, maybe by the hosting service or some other intermediary.

Well, see my comment on the site change topic. It was indeed my fault.

The forum rules link was indeed outdated in one place and that is fixed now as well.
