i just moved my webhost and copied the entire site from windows to litespeed..
want to use friendly url and so i enabled mod_rewrite in admin and copied the htaccess file from zp-core to root of web and renamed to .htaccess and changed

FROM : RewriteBase /zenphoto
TO : RewriteBase /

but when i surf it give page error "404 Not Found" is there any special setting we need to enable this ?

RESOLVED by running setup again

You probably need to enable modrewrite on the server itself as well. Probably need to ask your host about that. Also, litespeed is fully Apache compatible? (I know nothing about litespeed).

Besides, setup does ask for / creates the right htaccess file normally on installation.

btw i have enabled the static_html_cache and the cache is not being generated on this machine do i need to mention something in htaccess as i read something for cache on bottom of htaccess.

sorry i am no programmer thus making such questions.

also i have uploaded my folders through ftp which have space in it as its basically a proper name but rewrite engine made %20 as space in url

can i have something that put _ when it finds space in htaccess in URL ?

please guide on what and where to change it.

want to change "%20" to "_" when album url gets parsed in URL

1. No, the static cachec files are used automatically. The cache is not generated if you are loggedin as an admin. Or you got a folder permission problem.

2. Upload via the backend or give your files proper file names before uploading is the easiest. Or you can also use the rename functionality on the backend.
   Probably you can write a rewrite rule to replace these %20. Please see the web about that.
