I was after making the area of zenphoto the size of wordpress.

www.thestottfamily.co.uk you will see when you select the gallery menu the viewing area of zenphoto is smaller.

Is it possible to make the zenphoto area larger.

Sure, but you will need to modify the theme, specifially the CSS. See the theming tutorial for info on theme basics.

Just on printing info - can I ask what the standard width is?

It is generally still recommend to use 950-960 px width for a website so you match a 1024 screenwidth minus possible browser bars etc.
