I installed ZenPhoto a couple of weeks ago, probably version 1.4.1.1, and had Flickered running. I had some other problems not directly releated to ZenPhoto and re-downloaded version 4.1.1 and upgraded to version 4.1.2 but no Flickerd in the themes. I am not sure which theme Zenphoto starts with and do not see a setup option to select a theme. I have downloaded the Flickerd theme directly, put it in the themes folder but can't fine a way to access it.

If the theme is properly formed it will show up in the list of themes on your themes tab. If it has not provided the appropriate description files it will not.

Please excuse my ignorance as I am a real novice with ZenPhoto, although I am reasonably computer literate. I think that my problem is that I do not have an admin link on the home page of whatever gallery I have now, probably the default one. I assume that the admin functionality is where I would find theme selection information, although I don't remember seeing it when I had an admin link in Flickerd. The problem started because while adjusting some of the parameters via the Flickerd admin functionality, I lost the admin link on the home page. I have been reinstalling everything because I thought that I might get the admin link back with a fresh install. By the way, I do not see a Flickerd folder in the themes folder and no Flickerd information in the themes section of ZenPhoto.package in zp-core. I assume that there is some leftover setting from my earlier changes but I think that I deleted everything before I reinstalled. Can you point me in the right direction? I really liked what I saw in ZenPhoto and would like to get it working.

First, the default Zenphoto theme is named 'default'. Second, the Flickerd theme is not a standard theme, so it's not distributed in the Zenphoto package (it must be downloaded separately).

You should be able to access the admin back-end by going to `yoursite.zen/admin`. From there, you can select the theme and change theme options.

From what you've written, it sounds as though you did some manual work on the theme files. If doing so, I would suggest to either keep a copy of the original theme handy (for reference) or to keep backups. That way, you can undo any such changes without needing to reinstall completely.
