First of all I have to say that I tried to find out if you already answered this question or not @google and on this forums too. I really did.

Let go back to my problem.

Right after I register new user account via register form and perform activation it works well. Till I sign out from the website and try to log on from it.

When I click on log in form I got option to fill in only 'password' part but I can`t see any section where I can type 'ID name'.

I mean, I know how to log in with administrator account because I am using mywebsite.xxx/admin address but I have to solve this log in issue for regular users which will want to sign in.

My security logs are saying this:

Time:IP address:Guest loginassword provided in addition info tab.

I do not know why it`s using 'guest account' and what does it mean but as I wrote above I don`t have any chance to write ID name anywhere

My configuration:

Zenphoto version 1.4.1.3 [7990] (Official Build)
Current gallery theme: zpmasonry_v1.4.1 (I tried default theme and some other too)
PHP version: 5.2.17

Installed manually by myself it means I didn`t use any simplescripts and other automated installations.

Go to <path to your installation>/admin (assuming you have modrewrite). There you should see the normal login form.

I know about it so I mentioned it that I know how to log in my admin account.

But I need to make it work for regular users too specially when I have this form right in the right corner.

Unfortunately asking only for password..

I know nothing of the Zpmasonry theme. However if it is using the standard password form there ia an option on the security tab that forces the user field to be shown for just this purpose.

But I have this login issues on every theme I use so the problem is elsewhere I think.

Any other hint? It`s really strange behavior that is showing only password field and not the username too

The login form is actually the same for all. YOu probably have the register user plugin setup wrong. Check the settings, only a password is normally for a guest user and not a "real" user.

Could you explain it a bit more, please?

I did a fresh install, enabled 'register user' & 'user login out' plugins only and I have a same problem again.

Well, did you set the option as I suggested in my first response to this post?

I seem to have exact same issue as Chymus. I have zenphoto 1.4.1.3 [8113] with Zenpage theme enabled. Previously, I had no problems with password protecting albums. I had an unpublished album called Clients which I password protected on the Albums tab by filling in the user name, password, and hint. Client would go to /zenphoto/clients and would be prompted to enter user name and password.

Now all that is shown is a field for password. I've tried enabling the register user (which surely I don't need) and login/logout plugins just in case. Nothing changes.

I don't see that option.

Perhaps we are both not understanding how the password-protected albums work now. All I want is to require anyone to enter a password to view certain unpublished albums/images.

Could you explain exact steps we're supposed to follow to make this work.

Ok, here it is:

1. Log onto the back-end (admin pages) of your site
2. Click on the tab labeled "options"
3. Click on the sub-tab labeled "gallery"
4. Scroll down to the section labeled "Gallery Behavior"
5. Check the second checkbox in the list labeled "enable user name login field"

Also click on the link to the right of that field labeled "Details for enable user name login field" where you will be shown the following text:

"This option places a field on the gallery (search, album) login form for entering a user name. This is necessary if you have set guest login user names. It is also useful to allow Admin users to log in on these pages rather than at the Admin login."

Note that this option really belongs on the security tab and will move there on the 1.4.2 release. Since that release is what we normally are working with sometimes we forget that you guys see a slightly different view.

I have same problem in 1.4.3 (do not see user name field with protected gallery type). Could you please provide steps for protected user configuration, where user can see only his/her albums. Thanks!
