After hacked, upgraded from 1.3.1 to 1.4.1 on 1and1 server. Made 1and1 changes per other forum posts & cyberward.net (which worked before.)

Admin works fine; front page has following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR in /homepages/35/d290979573/htdocs/WEBC/gallery/zp-core/template-functions.php on line 1879

Re-uploaded template-functions.php & index.php file, checked .htaccess, running default theme. zenphoto installed in /webc/gallery/ folder; worked before upgrade.

You mean right on the index page? Sure your server matches the requirements. Zenphoto requires php5+ now.
I would suggest to try a complete reupload of zp-core as it might be that another file got damage via ftp upload (that happens occasionally).

That was it - I upgraded to PHP5 and it fixed it. Sorry, I thought it was already PHP5.
