First, Zenphoto 1.2.9 is "ancient" and not supported anymore. Please upgrade. The error you see has nothing to do with a hack. Your server is running a newer PHP version and the 1.2.9 Zenphoto is older so it uses a now marked as deprecated function (= to be removed in further PHP versions which then will cause an error not a warning).

So either you disable error display (ask your provider) But the actual fix is to upgrade to the current Zenphoto release anyway (especially if you were affected to the recent hacks reported . see the news section).
