Did you remove Front End Editing from the most recent release? I don't have it in the Zenphoto I just installed, but it's in version 1.4.1.6

I understand it's a security risk. I only turn it on when I want to work on descriptions. Then I turn it off again.

But now I can't find it. I did search the forum and documentation for any comments about this but didn't find anything - so if it's been discussed already, sorry.

Oh, never mind, Now I found it in the release notes for 1.4.2 I don't know why it didn't come up when I searched the site.

Front end editing was removed with 1.4.2 version. I wonder if it will be included again in the future?

As they say, in the 1.4.2 notes, it is available separately as an extension. Link here:

And, no, it will never be incuded as an integral part of the release because of the security issues.

Yes, I copied those files to the zp-core/zp-extensions folder. It's sort of working, in that it shows up in the plugins list and after I turned it on - it now says "No Description" under albums and images... but I can't do any editing.

It's as if it's installed but turned off - and I haven't found a place to turn it on. The plugin is not showing up in the Options/Plugins page or on any of the other options pages.

So I don't know if it's just me or if something is missing.

You should copy both the folder and the seperate file to the plugins folder.

Yeah, I tried that first and didn't seem to get anything at all. So then I tried the other zp-extensions folder. But after trying a bunch of things, I was probably making mistakes.

This time I put it in the plugins folder and everything worked fine.

Thank you.

I do want to say, "Thank you" to SBilliard. It works beautifully, and is such a nice way to add descriptions to my images.

But I will turn it off when not using it...
