Password reset does not work

I have had a PW problem with ZenPhoto. When I reset it, it only allows me to login to the Forum but I cannot access my site through NetFirms. I have tried to reset it three times so far and it does not work. NetFirms tells me that there is a problem my Login Page. How do I get a PW that works to open my ZenPhoto site on NetFirms?

If you just emailed us why do you ask the same question again here although you already got an answer?

Once again, the forum password has NOTHING to do with the password of your or any Zenphoto installation.

There is a functionality noted on the login form to reset the password by entering Captcha. That of course requires that your user account has an valid email address set and your Zenphoto installation is setup correctly to be able to email the reset link. If that all is not the case you need to reset the password manually by doing described here:

I really don't know what you mean.

You might want to read: `http://www.zenphoto.org/news/troubleshooting-guide#troubleshooting-security`

[edit] ...you beat me to it ;-)
  • If I may also add. I once had trouble getting my password to reset after upgrading to a new version... I would go to my admin panel where I was prompted to log in, but because of the upgrade, I couldn't. I tried entering the captcha, but it wouldn't work... that is until I discovered that the captcha is CaSe SeNsiTive!

So, basically.. go to where you usually log in, type in the case sensitive captcha into the password box and click the "Log In" button. Then check your e-mail associated with your ZenPhoto installation. You should get a link which will allow you to reset your password.

    Hope that helps. :)

Captchas - not only our - were always case sensitive...that is the clue on that...
