error 500 messages

I have been using Joomla, But wanted to use a photo gallery so I installed Zen photo. Since I've installed it I keep getting error 500 message, eventually I uninstalled Zen photo, but I noticed the other day I try to install a template and I got a error 500 message and the the Zp icon appeared on my address window. When I hit the back key the joomla logo reappears. Is something wrong with my webserver. Newby

    Please provide more info about how and where you installed Zenphoto and where Joomla. Both in the same directory of course does not work (as it does not with any other tool).

    I like an idiot used the same directory, now there is conflicting issues. I installed it through simplescripts on my just host server. Is this helpful ?

    We don't know or support SimpleScripts or similar as stated on our installation page (and the forum rules). If it works for you great, but if any issue appears (and it did in the past often) we cannot help.

    I have had the same problem two times. First time I had to change the file permissions on the directories. The other time I had to change the filepermissions on the php files.

    This might be your problem also.
