Zenphoto caching sets images with permissions of 000

I'm having an ongoing issue with zenphoto where when you use the caching feature and set the options for which theme to cache for, zenphoto will generate all the thumbnails, but sets the permission for the cached files to 000 for each image and 311 for their album directory.

This forces me to go and manually change all the permissions to 644 in order for them to show up on the front end. I've gotten to he point that for every zenphoto update, I save the cache folder and only run the caching option for when I add new photos and absolutely never delete the cache folder or I end up paying with hours and hours of permission changes.

Running the zenphoto setup shows nothing out of the ordinary with the standard php binaries installed including GD etc. I'm perplexed and it's driving me nuts. It's becoming to the point that I'm about ready to abandon Zenphoto and migrate to a wordpress option.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Thank you.

I am sorry for your problems. I indeed never encountered this issue on any standard shared host I am using. This kind of wrong permissions is most always a wrong configuration of the server.

    Please see: http://www.zenphoto.org/news/permissions-for-zenphoto-files-and-folders
If it is not your own self managed server, point your host to it.
  • What is the value shown for the permissions by setup?

    It should look something like:
File Permissions [are strict (0644)] Notice! click for details
