Ipad and Zen Photo

I have searched on Google and this forum with no success. I am trying to upload photos or Files to Zen Photo but when I log into Admin the option to upload photos or files are greyed out when I use an I pad. When I go to a PC there is no problem. Please let me know what I am missing. A Plug in? or .....Anybody have time to let me know what I need to do to make it happen?
Thanks in advance

  • Since I don't have an Ipad or Iphone, I'll make a wild guess.
What are the upload plugins you have activated? Three are available:
    – uploader_flash: allows you to upload more than one file at a time. However, you need Flash and since Flash is not available on Ipads and Iphones (to my knowledge anyways), it won't work.
    – uploader_jQuery: also allows you to upload more than one file at a time. However, it doesn't work with php < v.5.3
    – uploader_http: the good old traditional, that works in all cases.

Assuming all options are available, one thing I don't know is how the setup is remembered. Is it once and for all or per user? If you set the upload options at home to flash and then access it through your Ipod, will it work? Or do you need to set it first to http on your home computer?

Thks for the reply. Your comment (What are the upload plugins you have activated?) I haven't uploaded anything or activated either. I just have the options of either Flash or Http at the bottom.

IF you have only Flash or http, you either use an older Zenphoto version or the jQuery upload plugin is not enabled. Otherwise you could directly use FTP as well (I guess there is an app for the iPad.?)
  • I have a Ipad and if you use Safari you will not be able to upload your picture (it's a restriction made by apple).

You have to install icab mobile in the AppStore. With this browser you'll will be able to upload to your Zenphoto.

Fantastic input one and all. Thank you so much for the information. Just wanted to upload pics when I take em on the I pad.
    I'll try the icab mobile.
    Have a great week!

iCab is in general a nice niche browser btw. It is one I still have installed additionally although I rarely use it.
