    Tags by definition cannot be sorted, they are standalone and directly assigned as keywords. I don't know any system that does it differently actually.

    I think this is a very useful feature, can consider adding?

    like:
    language:tag1 tag2 tag3
    area:tag4 tag5
    group:...

    You would have to open a ticket on the issue tracker for a feature request to be looked at.

    But honestly I don't think taht fits into tags which are really everywhere without hierachies. That is actually something for categories or albums to organise.

    IF you really need this you can use prefixes like we do for several things on our site.

    - author_<tag> (for third party author assignements on extensions and theme entries)
    - zp_<tag> (for team member status)
    - showcase_<tag> (for showcase categories)
    - pluginsupport_<tag> (to assign what theme supports what plugin)
