Email notification on new releases?

Is there any way that I can setup to get email notifications when a new release (beta & stable) is out? I'm managing a server for my little sis so since I won't be using the software all of the time, I want to make sure she's always running the latest build.

Great idea! While on the subject, an RSS feed for the same thing would be useful too.
