Gallery not showing

Hi

I've been using ZenPhoto for some time without problem. Recently I noticed that the gallery page was showing a big fat nothing. Admin was still working so after messing around for a while I tried adding a new album. At this point I found I could view the new album, from where I could get to the gallery. So I now know I can see the gallery by adding /?p=gallery to the url. Can anyone tell me how to fix this, please?

    Without basic informations like what Zenphoto version and what theme we really cannot help. `p=gallery` is used by sevearl themes if they don't follow the standard having the gallery on the index page. Additionally please review your server error log. http://www.zenphoto.org/news/general-contributor-guidelines#reporting-bugs
  • Ok, here's the info from the admin overview page:
    Zenphoto version 1.3.1.2 [5831] (Official Build)
    Current gallery theme: Stopdesign Theme
    PHP version: 5.3.8
    Graphics support: PHP GD library bundled (2.0.34 compatible)
    PHP memory limit: 128M (Note: Your server might allocate less!)
    MySQL version: 5.5.17

    The server is Windows Home Server 2011 running IIS version 7.5

    Apparently the following plug-ins are active:
    class-video v1.3.1
    filter-zenphoto_seo v1.3.1
    hitcounter v1.3.1
    security-logger v1.3.1
    tiny_mce v1.3.1
    zenphoto_news v1.3.1
    zenphoto_sendmail v1.3.1

    I'm not aware that I've installed any so I assume these are installed by default.

    Interestingly, I had assumed I had the latest version because when I click the link to check for an update it tells me that I have the latest version. I can see now that I don't, so I will sort that out when I have the time. However, I'd still like to know what has caused this as I haven't changed anything on Zenphoto for a very long time, and it was working relatively recently. It's for this reason that I didn't report it as a bug - I assume something has changed on the machine's setup.

    The version is old that is why the version check does not work. It just calls the rss feed of our site and the rss feeds have changed on newer Zenphoto versions.

    Since you didn't say anything about errors from your server error log, I suggest to upgrade. A server upgrade can very well cause problems. We sadly can't and don't support older versions.

    Note:
    - Quite a few things changes since 1.3.x in case you have made any customizations to the theme.
    - Stopdesign theme itself also is not supported and included anymore. On our unsupported repository is a version that generally should work with the current release.
    - Windows IIS servers are not really supported or tested by us (never were), though it generally should work.

    Should have mentioned that there was nothing of interest in the logs.

    I've now installed the latest version and applied the Effervescence theme and all is now working well. Thanks for your help.

    Good it all worked out. It might have been an upgrade to your server that broke the install. Hard to say. Yes, GitHub is not that intuitive on the first view.
