Image Resize Question

Hi there,

Just wondering... sometimes images I load into Zenphoto are getting permanently resized when I would rather they stay the original huge size...

I wouldn't mind if they got temporarily resized for purposes of viewing inside a gallery or a single pic page... but, when one wants to select, "View Image" in the browser, then I want the pics to be their original huge size...

Not sure why the resize is happening, but is there a way to set things so they dont get resized permanently?

Thanks,

wm

You need to understand how Zenphoto works with images and albums being file system based. The image on the image page we call the "sized image" is always resized by standard themes as it is not the same as the original image (we call "full image" even if it is not an image but an audio or video file - to link to your other topic). Some themes do link additionally to the full image which is never touched (except a few special things you can set I leave out here). The sized images is always resized if it is not the same size as the full image already.

You can change everything to for example use the full image directly but that will require theme work.
