Upgrade 1.4.6 to 1.4.7 failure

Yet again, an upgrade has completely failed to install as per the upgrade instructions. Last time this happened I had to reinstall from scratch and start all over. I am getting seriously hacked off, please tell me there is a workaround for this error as I am fed up having to go back to square 1 and reuploading and retagging my 5,500 images losing user comments etc etc.

Setup script runs fine, little green arrows tick all over the page and everything looks peachy... it says i can now administer my site - when i click on the link all i get is this.....

Warning: require_once(/home117a/sub005/sc62105-HHGW/www/wearwolfie/zp-core/zp-extensions/zenpage/zenpage-class.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /mounted-storage/home117a/sub005/sc62105-HHGW/www/wearwolfie/zp-core/zp-extensions/zenpage.php on line 98

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/home117a/sub005/sc62105-HHGW/www/wearwolfie/zp-core/zp-extensions/zenpage/zenpage-class.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/php5/') in /mounted-storage/home117a/sub005/sc62105-HHGW/www/wearwolfie/zp-core/zp-extensions/zenpage.php on line 98

Thank-you. This was a great product it would be such a shame to move elsewhere for photogallery solutions due to high levels of frustration and rework every time i have to upgrade.

I am sorry for your troubles. I did upgrade several sites on different servers and never encountered these for whatever reason.

The error is usually because either the file is indeed missing or the file/folder permissions are wrong. The latter is sometimes happening if hosts set different rights for uploading via FTP and for script execution. I know one host where you manually have to switch that after uploading.

Does the server error log say anything additionally?

But in neither case you should need to re-upload your images. Don't touch them at all. If you may need to reupload /zp-core.
  • Thank you for a prompt reply. I re-uploaded the core files and re-ran setup and it worked fine!
    Phew!!
    Thanks again.,
