Upgrade to 1.4.7 image size changes

Hello -

I just upgraded to 1.4.7 from 1.4.6 and my thumbnails which were rectagular are now all square, and the image sizes which were 720 wide are now 595 wide. I went to the theme option page and tried to reset the options for both the image size and thumb size, but clicking Apply button didn't save the changes.

The theme I'm using is based on the default theme, which was let go, so I tried this using the basic theme. However, the changes are not saved here either.

Where are these settings actually kept (file, database table)? Can I manually edit them there? Or is there some plugin or other item I need to make this work now?

Thanks

I can only guess but it may be conflicting theme options.
If you use a modified copy of the basic theme, make sure the option names are different from the original basic theme option names.
You'll find the used theme options in the themeoptions.php file (within your theme folder)

All theme options are stored in the database options table.
  • Hello fretzl -

To simplify troubleshooting, I deleted the custom theme, and activated the Basic theme that was included with zenphoto without any modifications.

Then I tried to change the image size and the thumbnail crop from the Theme Options page in admin, but the changes never are saved when the Apply button is clicked.

Does this help narrow down the issue?

    Thanks

Thanks. The basic theme works as it should for me. All options can be changed and saved.
    Try to refresh your database.
Admin => Overview => "Refresh the Database" (button)
  • Hello fretzl -

After more searching here in the forum, I found the solution, ironically in a post that I made last year. A little different issue this time, but I thought I'd try it again.

This time I shortened the process. I just dropped the options table and re-ran setup. A few plugins I had enabled got marked disabled, but fixed that in the admin panel, so all is well.
