effervescence 1.1 and zenpress

I'm using the newest version of effervescence that includes support for subalbums and slimbox.

I've used ZenPress to insert an image in my blog and now when I try to click on it I get the following error: `Warning: main(themes/effervescence/image.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/www/doddemagen.com/zenphoto/index.php on line 12

Warning: main(themes/effervescence/image.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/www/doddemagen.com/zenphoto/index.php on line 12

Warning: main(themes/effervescence/image.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/www/doddemagen.com/zenphoto/index.php on line 12

Warning: main(): Failed opening 'themes/effervescence/image.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/www/doddemagen.com/zenphoto/index.php on line 12`

Any ideas? Also, my WP theme supports thickbox. If I modified the effervescence theme to support thickbox, would I be able to open the blog image in thickbox? If so, how do I modify the zenphoto theme to thickbox?

Thanks.

it's not that we don't want to help, it's just that we are all very busy (so please be patient with us). let me first state that the slimbox mods to effervescence were not done by the original author, so it may be that there is some incompatibility in there with zenpress/zenphoto/wordpress that may have been introduced.

is your error that you are getting from wordpress? that's what it seems to be like. can you point me to a page that I can view where you are getting the error above?

and if it is zenpress/wordpress related, changing your slimbox to thickbox in zenphoto's theme won't solve the issue, as zenpress/wordpress just "displays" images referenced via a zenphoto URL, and it would be the wordpress theme that would dictate what display (i.e. slimbox/thickbox) method would show the image.

    Does that make sense?
  • An example would be the following link: http://www.doddemagen.com/2007/04/03/testing-gallery2-and-wpg2/

I have a post where I inserted an image using ZenPress. If you click on the image, you get taken here: http://www.doddemagen.com/zenphoto/doddema-peterson/2007/000_0451.jpg.php
  • OK. Let's take the next step then. Can you post a copy of your image.php up here so I can take a peek? It looks like it's referencing the image OK, but something in your theme's image.php is not right.

If you want, if it's easier, email the image.php to craig@thinkdreams.com.
  • I think that's the problem. This theme with slimbox doesn't have an image.php file. I even downloaded it again to check.

Yep, that would be the problem. ZenPress links to the images page, and Zenphoto expects it. Every theme should have an image.php, even if it uses whateverbox to display images on the album page instead. The image.php is still used for comments, permalinks, and extra data if needed...
  • I haven't actually had a chance to take a peek at the slimbox modified effervecence. I hope whoever wrote the mods to it contacted Stephane about the changes to make sure it's OK with her (and left her credit stuff in there).
  • OK. I checked out the theme. That's exactly what the trouble is. No image.php. What happens is the slimbox is plugged directly into the album.php, and the image.php has been deleted. So like Tris said, no permalinks, comments, etc.

Makes it difficult to edit image descriptions as well.

So if you decide to use this particular version of the theme, you might want to add the image.php file back in there from the original distribution.

I'd be glad to help you if you want.
