Recover database

I'm new to ZenPhoto. I had a old site that seemed to be broken when I tried to add a new album, so I re-installed and moved all the albums to the new location. Now I realize that the comments are part of a separate SQL database, and didn't move. The old database is still present from my host's CPANEL, but I'm not sure how to use it. Can I extract the data? Can I link the new site to the old database (even if I've added some new content?) The new content doesn't have comments yet.

Note that the backup tool mentioned is not available on really old Zenphoto version. Then you have to use tools like phpMyAdmin to manually export the databse.

If your new site is on the same server you of course can re-use the old database. But note the order of copying stuff mentioned above. But as also mentioned above you need to install the same version the old install had first. The database changed over times.
