Six zenphoto installs - different behavior again

Hi,

I'm updating to 1.4.8.
So 5 sites went OK, strangely - without any need to run scripts, just /admin and closing scripting alert.

However, the 6th site is currently locked on
(...)/zp-core/setup/index.php?autorun=gallery
(2 minutes passed)
OK now there is the reinstallator.

The same with themes - sometimes the script saves new themes over my old ones, sometimes it leaves the e.g. light.css.

My question: why does zenphoto behave in different ways?
Same host, same script, same history of updates, etc.
Once it's an installator, once it just reloads and logs in with a higher number at the bottom. Themes sometimes saved over, sometimes left default.

Normally setup should and does run automatically after you upgraded. If it does not you should run it manually in any case.

Zenphoto and its setup process actually does not save anything over anything. All it does is update the database structure if needed, but not any files. The only way files are overwritten is by uploading them via FTP.

If you possibly used an install script provided by your host, that might be an issue with that installer script.

    I never use host installers.
So you think I should run the script like /install anyway?
Hmmm I won't remember which ones went through OK and which ones I need to run now : /

What address should I run to have the installer?

I tried one of the galleries and /install doesn't work.
What's the path to run update?

Ok, just asked about host installers as these often cause trouble in the past.

The address to run setup is `/zp-core/setup/` or <path to your install>/zp-core/setup.php`. But there should also be a button "Run setup" right in the admin overview page (not in releases before 1.4.6).

You can run setup anytime, it really does not do any harm to a running and already update system.

OK, the address is forbidden and I believe it's locking the scripts or something (the option which shows after upgrade) but I can't find this setting to enable the update.

I don't know which sites updated OK and which not as I can't run the setup.

Sorry, my mistake. There is a button "Setup > restore files" on the overview page to unprotect the setup files. Afterwards you should see the button to run setup and the url should work as well.

This is all for security of course.
