Dear ZenPhoto team,
I have first come across zenphoto a few weeks ago while looking for self-hosted gallery/blog solutions for my photography.
As you may have heard, Koken CMS is on sale. I'm not sure what it bides for the future but I for one will not consider continuing further the project I have drafted with this otherwise quite stunning photography CMS.
I have been told last time I asked a few questions in this same forum that a revamped, responsive version of ZenPhoto is in the pipelines. Given the current lack of a decent self-hosted photography-oriented CMS with blogging capabilities and the temporary setting back of a major player (Koken), I believe it is time for ZenPhoto to unveil its plans and announce release dates.
What do you think?
Best regards

Koken was always a free but actually more or less a commercially orientated proprietary tool. Zenphoto on the contrary is completely free and open source. And we are working on it voluntary which means also for free and literally in our spare time.
I can say we plan roughly end of the year but we sadly cannot promise anything exact because of above reasons. We will announce details when we think we are ready to do so. Still a lot to do both on the backend and new frontend themes. We like to do this all the best we can and not rushed inbetween just to get it out.
Sorry that we cannot answer differently. We sadly have to ask for your all patience. Thanks.
