Subalbums

Hi New to the forum and the software and although quite easy and straight forward to get started there really isn't an easy user guide that would probable answer a lot of the first time user questions.

Anyway my question is "Is the any limit to the number of subalbums within an album. The reason is I have a lot of subalbums installed however only one page is showing in the Album tag with no next page ect. It is showing about 35 subalbums.

No, there is no limit of subalbums per album (and no level limit). The only limit is the space of your server.

I don't really understand what is show where? Please more details what you are referring to.

Thanks for your reply. I have noticed that at the front end that all the subalbums are showing.

My issue is at the back end and under the Sub Albums Tab and here not all the albums are showing to be selected.

I want/ need to be able to select the sub albums to gain access to the images to apply the properties such as rotate, publish, ect.

I hope this is more of an explination

Actually I was wrong in the comment about the front end it says using the plugin that there are 71 subalbums and there are 9 pages if you use the page select you can get to the page however if you just use the nest page it stops at the same place as the backend.

How many levels of subalbums do you have and what theme are you using ?

I am only using the one level of sub album with the main album the year and then there could possibly be up-to 365 sub albums under that. My max is about half or less than that. I am using the Effervescence+ theme but I am open to suggestions on other themes this one just seemed to be a simple nice looking layout with some nice functions.

Just in case you didn't know:

• You have to click on a toplevel album to get to the sublevel albums.
  
• 
  On the top right there's a dropdown `Show x album level`.
  You can select to show up to 5 levels immediately.
  Note that with that many albums it may slow down your backend.

Thanks I kind of figured how this feature works. But like I said in this case I onle have a single level of sub albums under the main album however they are just not all showing in the backend, and under some circumstances the front.

Maybe the server has reached its limits.
