I've noticed that many/most of my older thumbnails are "losing their memory" - they're no longer cropped like I originally did them. Instead, they're just the default cropping. I have thousands of images in my catalog... This seems to only happen with older ones.
At one point, I had a security breach and had to re-install and lost all my thumbnail crops, but since then I've sloooowly been fixing them (a painfully slow process). now, I've started to notice that thumbnails I've fixed or posted about 1.5 years ago revert to the default cropping.
Has anyone else seen this? and any idea what might be going on?

Zenphoto is file system based so it syncs the database to the file system and not the other way round). So if the prefix or the database is a different one any image or album would be "new", thus not taking any manual settings like titles, description or custom crops.
but, check out these from about 5 months ago:

If you see the few thumbnails with the black edges, that's because all my photos have a black border in the .jpg. But, when I create my thumbnails, I never include the black border. While it's hard to remember exactly how I cropped them, I'm pretty sure these aren't what I did.
I agree it sounds like voodoo or something. It just doesn't make technical sense. But, I thought perhaps there was some obscure bug... or maybe I'm just going mad.
But please be aware that Zenphoto 1.4.1.5 is quite old being from 2011 already. We can't and don't support that version anymore so we can only suggest to update to see if it is fixed.
