Hi,
I don't know if it's been talked about, I only found a 7-year old topic on naming and ordering but it wasn't exactly my issue.
So, I think there's something strange - or maybe I see it as strange (please explain in such case).
I have a policy to name folders in a certain way and have "order by names" for the subgalleries. So in this gallery I have folders like:
141001eventname
141115eventname
...
...
151005eventname
etc.
so everything looks good on the front-end as I have filename for galleries, descending (so it's newest first).
HOWEVER if I have a range of days for an event, like it was
2014, 10 month, days: 3rd to 5th
so I get a name of the folder:
141003-05 (with a hyphen, without the zero)
it's all good
it's put like:
141001eventname
141003-05eventame (with a hyphen, without the zero)
141115eventname
...etc.
If I make a folder:
141003-5eventname
it's put in the beginning, leaving it's proper place.
I hope you guys get me.
One of the gallery administrators started creating folders without the hyphen and the additional number of the day (like 151021-4 meaning 21-24) and suddenly the galleries popped out on top ...I had to test things too discover this issue.
The folders in the server are stacked OK but inside the gallery, the Zenphoto system stacks them the wrong way... the 1410035eventname goes to the top, as the newst one!
On the server - the folder is in the proper place.
Why is that so? Is it Zenphoto-specific or Linux-specific or what?
