Can zenphoto support user restricted downloads as .zip-file

Hi,

we are searching a software for our marketing. They want to provide product pictures to our customers.

They need:

- access rights for album (restrict view/download of an album to specific users or groups)
- bunch download of one or more selected albums as .zip
- leave pictures in original format for download (not resized or croped etc)

Fileformats is mostly .jpg, .png and .tif, but can be .ai, .cdr, .psb or vector formats like eps too.
A thumbnail for all formats are not a must.

Can we do this with zenphoto out of the box without modify templates and/or extensions and keep it updateable?

Download of an album as zip is supported but not several at once. But you might need to modify the theme used to offer a zip download.

Fileformats is mostly .jpg, .png and .tif, but can be .ai, .cdr, .psb or vector formats like eps too.

Zenphoto only supports standard web image formats jpg,gif,png and if your server use Imagick as the image processor additionally tiff. For all other "non standard" image formats like the vector formats you listed you would need to create a "fake handler". Examples to start these are the class-*** plugins included.

So in short all is possible but you will have to do some work. Of course your modified theme and your custom plugins you need to maintain. But Zenphoto's updatability is not affected by that.
