Have not accessed my site for several months. I now cannot navigate beyond my homepage www.trageser.us/gallery
When I click on any image I get the error 404 message.
Currently installed version is zenphoto-1.4.1.6. Noticed latest version is 1.4.12.
What is the easiest way to fix the problem.
I am retired now and would rather not learn a new language.

As a site owner you really should not access your site for months. Not sure about the US but over here you would be at least partly responsible if the site meanwhile for example had been hacked and caused harm to visitors.
We really recommend to update frequently as any open source project does.
I only have the problem Zenphoto folder named gallery.
trageser.us/Gallery is the only place where I use the Zenphoto product. Zenphoto created a subdirectory(folder) named 'albums' within the Gallery folder which contains the image files and additional sub-folders with images that used to be displayable using the Zenphoto php functions. Something has changed within Zenphoto that prevents it from operating as it did 6 months ago.
You could try to run setup again and see if that fixes it. (you will at least get messages if things are wrong). You will probably have to re-upload the setup files before doing this.
See:

Updating to 1.4.12 is also an option of course ;-)
http://www.trageser.us/gallery/private-albums/ does not work and result in a 404 not found error.
http://www.trageser.us/gallery/index.php?album=private-albums does work.
So either you have mod_rewrite enabled in the ZP options and your server does not support or does not support it anymore. Or it does but you for some reason lost the .htaccess file that is required.
As fretzl suggested re-run setup to see if that fixes it.
