page not found

after install can view the album thumbs page (index.php), but all other pages (album.php, register.php, contact.php etc) all lead to a:
"Page Not Found

The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please try the following:

If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly.
Click the Back button in your browser to try another link.
Use a search engine like Google to look for information on the Internet."

page. I would think i would see the ZP 404 page, but not.

Have tried some help links on rewrite, but ZP links lead to a 404. I have installed ZP on another website that is functional. Similar issue on WP state it might be a host issue. The domain name is newly registered.

any help would be appreciated

Login page only seen at website/zp-folder/zp-core/admin.php
Can view & adjust the control panel - NO changes have been made & the basic theme is active. Photos added via FTP.

Hard to tell without an example.
What do the URL's to your index.php, album.php, etc. look like?

Two things I always do when something strange happens.
    - Run setup again
    - Refresh the database (Admin > Overview > Refresh the Database)

All the url for all but the index appear in the browser as the above "page not found" - only the index.php appears to show the album I have uploaded. This the second install - with a new database - same issue.

The page is plain white with a rectangular block with the above wording inside (text was copied from the page) - nothing else is on the url pages

I view the basic theme php files on the server for code - they appear normal with the php & html in place.

Update: next day, post second install the page not found - changed to the host default 404 page in the past hour - reran install again from control panel & appears to have corrected the issue.

I believe, from my readings online (WP had similar posts), this may have been a host issue due to a recently register domain name.

At this time this inquiry is ended.

    Thank You

If it is because of the domain that's nothing ZP can do

Quick guesses since you didn't post a link:
    - Modrewrite urls enabled but no htaccess file present (if on Apache servers). Should have been created by installing. Re-running setup should tell about that
    - You have a htaccess file and you installed in a subfolder "zpfolder". But you renamed the subfolder without re-running setup so the htaccess file's rewrite base doesn't not match
