User ID/Password reset

I have constant problem trying to get into my zenphoto album (mostly because I should write down all my password somewhere and also because I over rely on Chrome to remember them). After running the install to upgrade to version 1.4.12 I got a message that to complete the setup I needed to log in. I could not remember the password, I clicked on reset but that did nothing and I don't see an option to request a new one.
I think some of my problem is that the user is set to admin, which is the same on the blog I use (both installed on the same site via softaculous installer) - I have similar issues with it too and I think it's because I am constantly altering the password for one and knocking off the other(or maybe not?) and I am hoping that i could - as part of a password reset, alter this username and then reset the password and get my gallery up and running again.

For security reason I would not recommend to share the same user name on two installs and best not use the generic "admin" either.

If you don't know your admin password anymore and there are no other accounts (one user is always master), you will have to follow these instructions:

Afterwards Zenphoto will consider itself a "fresh install" so after running setup you can and need to setup a new user.

I can't tell why the reset didn't happen for you but probably you didn't have any mail handler plugins enabled and/or not set an email adress for the user.

Hello, so happy about you get back the password.Aas your mentioned you have so many passwords and you think you should write them down but why you dont try to use password manager to remember them instead of chrome or write down?I use password manager like `` Password Manager

to keep my passwords and it works very well also with the functions of recovery files and photos.It seems free and you may have a try if you need.

Hello !

I am Zen but not for long... Because I cannot retrieve my admin logs and pass to connect.
So.. I tried the instructions stuff in "http://www.zenphoto.org/news/login-and-password-problems/#forgotten-admin-password" page...

But I can't access my administrator's table, in fact I dont really know what it is.

Please help me I am about to sink in full depression.

I'm afraid we cannot tell you how to access your database and delete the table. That is something specific for each host. You will have to ask your host for help. Maybe they are so friendly to do it for you.
