automatic scan photo and creating thumbnails

Hello,

Sorry for bad english, i'm french user!

I use zenphoto since 3 weeks and I think it's a very good photo gallery.

my zenphoto 1.5.4 is installed on an ASUSTOR NAS.
Missing only two things to make it perfect in my opinion :

1 - The ability to scan photos periodically and automatically because I upload many photos at a time by ftp (sometimes several hundred) and the update of the database is very very slow...
2 - For about the same reasons the automatic creation of thumbnails. I tried the python script zenphoto-precache but I can't make it work.

I searched everywhere but there may be something I missed to solve my problem?

    Zenphoto does this on request by default If it is too slow you need to upload fewer (especially if they have large dimensions) images at the time as your server might not be able to handle it. ZP can onl Perhaps use the cachemanager for precaching.

    Zenphoto creates thumbnails and other sizes when requested on the fly. They can be registered to the cachemanager for manual precaching but themes and plugins can request any size they need. There are no real standard size like other CMS like WP or Piwigo use them.
