The simpler media website CMS
My ZenPhoto 1.4.6 site is no longer working after Bluehost reconfigured internal servers.
Admin (and all other links) are missing from album pages.
Some albums kind of work, but I get this error:
Zenphoto has detected a change in your installation.
Your installation has moved from /home6/linksevc/public_html/public_html/29657392/zphoto to /home1/linksevc/public_html/public_html/29657392/zphoto.
The change detected is critical. You must run setup for your site to function.
When I try to re-run the setup scripts (following https://www.zenphoto.org/news/installation-and-upgrading/#--re-running-setup-on-zenphoto-146-or-newer ): /zp-core/setup.php
I get the error: You must restore the setup files from the 1.4.6 [bbddab7675] release.
How can I recover?
While I'm at it, can I do a "clean install" and upgrade to the latest without losing my albums?
Comments
The setup files are proteced and need to be unprocted. There should be a button to do so on the overview page. If they are not there at all you have to reupload them from the 1.4.6 install which you have to re-download again if you don't have a copy anymore.

It might work but we cannot guarantee that as we don't test version jumps especially since there have been rather major updates since then. Afterall 1.4.6 is from 2014. If all works depends on what plugins and which theme you used. Things have changed and especially third party tools may not be compatible. We strongely recommend to test on a staging site first if this is an important live site.
And of course we strongley recommend frequent updates.
Thank you for fast reply! I was able to download 1.4.6 from the old version archive, and extract contents of /zp-core/setup and upload those files to the same folder on my site. Then the setup script was able to run, and after completing, I was again able to reach admin. Now the albums are working properly.
