Sorry, Newbie but I'm looking for a simple Registration and login page. I will be using it for a private family album and I really don't want to be showing family pictures on a home page. Just something simple Family Album maybe a picture of a flower then register or log in, just about all CMS have it, but I'm not seeing much of anything like I want here.

Sounds like you want a "private" gallery. There is a gallery option to achieve this. Once set, a visitor will get a logon page when first visiting. If you have the register user plugin enabled there will be a register link on the logon page.
You can, of course style your logon page. You can also customize themes so that the Home Page is whatever you want, but it sounds like you want an out-of-the-box solution.
