The simpler media website CMS
Installed 1.6.1 today (from 1.6). Going to site as a member of the public (i.e., not a "user") images show fine, but when I click the slideshow button in an album display, or on a single image in the album, I get a "This album is password protected" message, in a pink background at the top of the window. If you browse to wegall.com and choose any album, you should see the issue. (The message doesn't come up if I am logged in as the master user (who has all access), and the slideshow works as before.) Neither the gallery nor the individual albums are password protected. The password fields are blank.
(Firefox 121.0, Win 10; same phenomenon on iOS17.1.1)
I am sure there is something not right in my configuration, most likely. Running setup again did not change the behavior. I don't think that the host is an issue, since the slideshow works fine for the master user.
So I am at a loss about how to debug/correct this, which is critical since using the slideshow is something most visitors do. (I am aware that slideshow2 is now deprecated, and I look forward to an alternate way to accomplish the same result in due course.)
Thank you in advance for any suggestions you might have.

Sadly this is indeeda small bug due to an oversight by us. It is now fixed in the 1.6.2a support build. You can just use the slideshow2.php file from there as there are no other changes to 1.6.1 yet.
Thank you very much for your prompt and effective reply. Yes, an errant "!" can cause difficulties!
