The simpler media website CMS
Hello. Please tell me how to place the gallery menu at the top of the site in the desktop version? Otherwise, when displaying metadata, the last line is closed. You need to move the menu to the top, as when viewing on a smartphone. Best regards, Evgeniy.

And the slideshow only plays the current album page, but not the entire album. ( I think I need to disable pagination.
"lazyload" doesn't work. If you turn it on, the photos do not load - there are black spots. Only ctr+5 helps on a desktop, and swipe down on a smartphone. Disabled "lazyload".
Hopefully the theme author @bic-ed will be of help here.
Does "lazyload" refer to the official plugin or does the theme have its own? Please review your browser console for any js error/conflict.
Your description of behaviour sounds like the common too persistent browser cache issue. It probably still servers the old version lacking the script necessary.
lazyload
Provides lazyloading for theme and backend using standard template functions using lazysizes by Malte Müller (acrylian)
I disabled it, everything works fine. If you turn it on, then black places are loaded instead of photos. I think it’s not just necessary not to turn it on.
So any js errors in the console browser log? The plugin modifies the html. Again, if you have to (force) reload to get all images it suggests the browser cache issue. It simple refuses to load the current files. Common issue nowadays with basically all browsers.
Or the multiverse theme does custom things that somehow interfere somewhere which I don't know. You can build a theme without the template functions just using the object core model. But all that @bic-ed surely can answer as soon as he finds time to do so.
My fault: The theme author's forum name is actually @bic, bic-ed is the Github name.
As soon as I enable the "lazyload" plugin I immediately get this. I reset all the caches that were possible. )

Switched "Pre-caching generation mode" to "Classic" mode. Caching is many times faster, and there are no errors, but still something is wrong. At the points indicated by the arrow I receive the following message.

If I understand correctly, these are some very small sizes that were not created. 5 sizes out of 7 are created.
It doesn’t matter how strangely the photo gallery works. "lazyload" is disabled. I go into the album, start flipping through it and see this. Again, only ctrl+F5 helps. This is starting to make me sad. ((I have never encountered anything like this in Piwigo.

The hosting also blocked me for multiple requests. ))) Something tells me that my acquaintance with Zenphoto is not very successful. )
Please do not mix so many topics within one topic. This is for issues with multiverse.
The cachemanager is actually a separate topic. Image generation is a very server load heavy process. If you have very large images and a lot of them you need to make sure that your server is up to the task of course. Try uploading smaller images or less at the time.
Pre-caching is technically not necessary actually (see the "caching" article on the user guide).
Piwigo to my knowledge pre-caches specific image sizes on upload. Zenphoto works different and has not "fixed" sizes. Themes and plugins define these as they need them.
There are two modes for pre-caching because not all work good on all servers. On our for example the "curl" mode works better.
If your host blocks you already perhaps you need a better host. I have installed ZP sites on various rather normal webhosts overhere and never had any issues. For granted most sites are not huge sites with thousands of images…
Thanks for the answers, I'll try to sort the questions. )
My hosting is the best. I just have the “Blog” tariff plan. With low load levels. Okay, I'll think about what to do next.
I moved to Zenphoto, let's see how it performs further.

Regarding precaching there is also a 3rd party plugin SmartImageCache which perhaps might be of help.
So I wrote about him above. )
And smartcache displays this:

So far everything is working. I watched from another PC and two smartphones. The only thing that is not very satisfying is, again, a strange slideshow in the Multiverse theme. On a smartphone, full screen is not full screen. )) If you rotate the smartphone, the image is small and does not enlarge to fill the entire screen. ((
Sorry, yes forgot you mentioned it already. I cannot help with the plugin itself But it is a general problem with teh classic mode that not all sizes are generated. That's why we introduced the curl way as that works at least for me reliable. Both take quite long the more images you have. You may need to repeat it until all are. Also it may just be your server not capable (power and/or memory). For example invalid metadata (exif/iptc) can also cause trouble.
Regarding slideshow: If you are using slideshow2 with colorbox mode the colorbox script used is a little outdated and not fully responsive - in fact that it is a bit is our addition via CSS - and does not support real fullscreen. All on the long todo list to replace that script. It will take some time as a lot if things will not happen in 1.x anymore.
I don't use "slideshow2", it doesn't work in this theme.
Okay, then only the theme author can help here.
And some kind of miracle happened. Now the list fits. )

This is on a different monitor. )) 1280x1024. And it also doesn’t fit on 1920x1080.
