Thinkdreams Theme Timeline

OK. For those of you that have asked recently, and have not had very much response from me, I just wanted to let everyone know what's been going on, what will be going on, and how it's going to go. I had been away for training for two weeks, and my wife and I are expecting a baby, so things have been a bit busy lately.

With the upcoming 1.1 release of Zenphoto, which hopefully will have EXIF support (and theme functions), I think it's best to hold the rework of the Thinkdreams theme off until after that is complete rather than patch up a hacked theme now, and then have to re-patch it again after 1.1.

So, I'm going to focus on helping get Tristan's EXIF support fleshed out for theme functions (as much as I can) and then I will look at updating the Thinkdreams theme after that. I hope that's OK by everyone.

    Due to the lack of time on my part, I am sad to say I will be abandoning my plans to update this theme. It will continue to be available in its present form for those of you who want an example of older code, but I want to focus my limited amounts of time these days to helping out here as much as I can, and helping work on the continued evolution of the zenphoto project in general (plus moderation duties).

    I may eventually revisit if I have time, but for now, please consider another theme for your gallery, or by all means, create your own! Zenphoto themes are always welcome.

    I'd like to say again how sorry I am that 1.1 is not coming to fruition on schedule... I'm putting all my time into a new project with big plans, and it has to take priority right now... but I'm still sorry.

    I'll be posting about it more openly sometime soon, when I have time (argh...). I'm sorry to hear the Thinkdreams theme isn't going to be updated soon, but I'll accept the blame :-/ Hopefully we can pick it up again soon, as soon as I possibly can.

    It's not your fault Tristan. We're all busy. It's a particularly busy time of year for everyone.
