Getting an album list with only the accessible ones

I'm trying to set an album menu with a link to any accessible (published and unprotected) album to the visitor. I might haved missed something but the AlbumList functions I've tried return all the albums, whatever their status is.

Isn't there any option, or another function, that returns only whatever album the visitor is authorized to see.

If you are loggedin with full rights you see all. Try a 2nd browser without being logged in. (There is a plugin show_not_logged-in to disabled this). Generally protected items are listed if published.
