pre-'render' an album

As I am about to release 250 photos for my company to view (company outing), I'd like to know if I can pre-render, pre-cache them in anyway ? If I unleash 80 employees on my site without that, I know that the load will creep up and the machine will crawl to a halt.

Ideas ?

It may fit the bill for what you want to do. It may have to be tweaked for subalbums.
  • Yeah, it doesn't work for sub-albums. Ouch.
  • What's the problem? The first person to look at each image will see some delay, but everyone else should see the cached images.

Alternatively, just view all the pages yourself (or at least the index pages) before passing the link to your co-workers. You'll probably want to anyway to check everything is working.
  • well, the problem is that if you throw 100 co-workers at it, the system will slow down to a crawl. Also, it'll use all of my io_tokens all at once (shared physical machines runing virtual machines) and none of it will come up.

There are 18 pages of photos and 270 photos total, I don't want to go see every one manually and wait for each thumbnail page to generate as well as every detail page (10mpx file being scaled to 1mpx or so).
