Zenphoto versions

Hello to all,
I have been using zenphoto for about a year. I have been extremely satisfied.
Nevertheless since Trisweb has stopped the development, it has been difficult to know exactly where the projet is or going. I know that a new dev team is being set up but I have a simple need.
Could someone (a leader of the forum if possible) set either on the front page or a webpage with the lastest version of zenphoto... In some discussion, people are talking about zenphoto_updated.zip in others people talk about nightly versions... The problem is that I am a bit lost and I finally do not know which is the lastest official version...
Could we keep the version 1.8.2 are the lastest stable version and set up a "beta" version which everyone considers as the lastest UNSTABLE version... At least it would be a lot clearer...
Hope some people we'll agree...

  • The zenphoto_updated.zip build is now outdated. It was created to give users all of the new fixes and updates that the forum users have created since ZenPhoto development was halted in April. We now use the SVN to update.

We have a very specific feature set that we would like to see in 1.1, 90% of which has been completed. I would guess that it will be out within 2 weeks.

The latest SVN build (as of 9-20-07) can be downloaded in ZIP here: http://www.zenphoto.org/trac/changeset/469/branches/community?old_path=/&format=zip
  • Thanks a lot for the infos... I therefore concentrate on the svn. I am also happy to hear that a new stable version will come out. Can we expect the administration of subalbums or is that part delayed?
    Thanks
  • administration of subalbums is already in the svn. please by all means use it and test it, and let us know if you find something amiss with it.
  • and the front page of the website (http://www.zenphoto.org) should have the latest stable version, 1.0.8.2. As aitf311 stated, 1.1 should be out soon, but as far as I can see, the SVN versions have been very stable (I run the latest ones in my production gallery with very little issues).
