Captions in simpleviewer

I have long captions to add to my photos. Is there a way to increase the size of that box and customize the styling options? I'm having a tough time figuring out what controls what in the style CSS.

For effervescence+simpleviewer, it is the #flash style that determines the size of the flash frame.
