Question for roadmap discussion

I've just finished up password protection per album and was informed a nightly trunk already included the feature I was wanting. Shame on me for not looking before coding. My bad ;)

The next enhancement I'm working on is providing event capabilities .. Is this on the roadmap already?

My goal is to add an event front-end to the gallery where a person can come to my photography site with an event number and a password to view their private albums. Please say this is already underway??

If not I'd like to contrib the work when I'm done.

    tdaugharty: There is no plans for the events like you are describing, and we will welcome your additions. You are pointing out something that we definately need to be better about...letting users know what we're up to and when things are finished.

    We do actively use the trac site and mark tickets off as they are complete but perhaps we could have a thread of completed 'large' features in the future or maybe even put it on the website somewhere. We are actually redoing the website right now.

    What you should do is create a ticket in trac describing the feature. Then, after you have created the ticket, view it again and look down at the bottom of the page. click on the reassign radio button. This should put your user id in as the assigned person.

    Save this change then go back again and click on the accept radio button. This will indicate that you are working on the ticket.

    I'll document reqs and create a ticket with what I expect to accomplish. Give me a few days to set this up.
