No images will be displayed?

Hello
I have installed zenphoto local on my computer, I ran the setup and it works fine but no images are shown. No full sized images and no thumbs will be displayed. In the album folder are just the original images, but no thumbs or someone else.
Can anybody tell me, what I'm doing wrong and help me to solve the problem?

    There are many reasons this is possible. Try copying the (broken) image URL and pasting it in your browser to see a possible error message. Unfortunately it'll be difficult to help you more as we can't see the gallery, but give us more information about your server setup and we may be able to help.

    try ticking off the "Enable mod_rewrite" in Gallery Configuration, that did the trick for me
