Can Zen photo be integrated with paypal buttons

I just ran across this software and am impressed. I have been looking for something a little easier so I do not have to continue coding everything by hand. I love the look and feel of it.. however can it be integrated with a payment system such as paypal- payloadz etc.

  • Since you can create your own theme, there would be no problem putting in the buttons. But, what are you going to do with them? It is not an e-commerce package.
  • You could use the custom data field to set a price and then prefill everything else in your theme including the Add To Cart button. Should be pretty simple to do.

Here is a solution using Zenphoto: http://www.scottphotography.co.uk/zen/ngala/leopards/Leopard_Ngala_ps_0006.JPG.php
  • Sbillard- well my thought was that I would actually integrate it with payloadz which integrates with paypal- that way they can pay through paypal and then payloadz sends them an email with the download link. I do not see why this would not work personally but I have been wrong before... may even be wrong again at some point.

Sbillard and I are not used to PayPal so we didn't know how that works and assumed that a order form would have to be added to zenphoto, which would be quite a thing. But we have been teached by aitf311 that the order form and the cart are on the paypal site, so that should be doable as aitf311 suggests.

The solution on Scottphotography website is actually hard written onto the image.php file and is a normal pay pal cart button with the following added to reference the file required. It was beyond me to add anything to theactual zen code.

    `

    ">

    `

This ensures that pay pal knows the image name, provided you have the images named uniquely you can then receive the pay pal order and send the correct image to the client.

    A full example is here:

  • I wanted to use paypal for selling images itself and not prints. Is there any way I could set prices for each image and use this paypal buttons for it?

    Many thanks

I suggest using the custom data field in the admin for that.
  • There's a simple paypal plugin now available, check this post:

  • I have made a plugin version. Added some flexibility with the pricelist. I have not checked it beyond making sure the HTML worked. (I don't have a paypal account.)
