Image sorting?

hi there.
first of all thanks for the wonderful zenphoto gallery - very great.
but i have encountered some problems and dont know how to solve these. I'm running zenphoto 1.1.5 (no nightly build or something, the stable version). After uploading my folders and naming the galleries i wanted to have them sorted by date (the original date, when they were taken is correctly filled in the fields - albums and images).
Before you say: Dumbass, use the search and go to the admin options / image display and choose sort by date: I have already done this - but nothing happened. The albums seem to sort randomly, i don't see any logical order ...

Sorting of the images in albums by date works fine, only the albums won't sort by date.
And unchecking the box by descendng and saving doesn't work either. It's always the original state - checked.

I hope you've understood my (rather bad) english and someone knows a solution for my problem. I would be very grateful.

There are two sorting options for albums. There is an option for the gallery to sort albums. This determines the sort order on the index.php page and is also the default for sorting subalbums. Subalbums sort order can be change in the album edit pages.

There is a problem with the sort direction that has been corrected in the nightly build, so that may also be your problem. Try the nightly build.

so, i tried the nightly build today. but no change at all.
all my albums in my main (and only) gallery are sorted with no order. even if i try id, date, filename or whatever. the descending checkbox wont uncheck either.

but something changed. the date now displays the time too (under the album title) - is that new? and can i turn it off? deleting does nothing, only reseting to 00:00:00. looks quite stupid in the overview.

any other ideas for sorting my albums?

Hm, as I said in another thread I can't reproduce that.

Regarding the date, yes, that is new, it's an admin Gallery option.
