How to upload large images

Hi

Before I ask the question, I would like to let you know, that I have no idea about PHP, it is my first installation of Zenpoto....so if you think the question is stupid, please be kind. I would like to upload photos that are larger than 2M, where can i change the option to allow me to do that? Any help would be greatly appriciated.

    FTP would be probably the easiest way.

    The size limit is placed by your server. But, Those are pretty big images, do you really need that size? Certainly zenphoto will be resizing them down to a much smaller size and that will take a lot of server resources--maybe even excede the memory limits.

    Before I upload a jpg image I first resize it to 800x600 then I upload it.

    First see how LARGE (kb/mb) the image is if you save it as that large a photo. Be nice to your guests <LOL!>

    Chaps thank you very much for the suggestions. The reason for trying the big files was to use the server as a backup of my pictures. It seemed a good idea at the time, but I will take your suggestions on board. I guess the files up to 7M are just ott.
